The wheat grain naturally contains moisture that retains both heat and cold with impressive insulation properties. The wheat grain can absorb and evenly distribute both heat and cold giving you effective pain relief and comfort.

It should be noted that while heat grain has a natural moisture content, continual heating will eventually dry this moisture out and the wheat will begin to cook and eventually burn. To prevent this it is important to keep your wheat bag or eye pillow hydrated by occasionally placing a heatproof container of water alongside the bag.  Alternatively sprinkle with water before heating.

All wheat bags and eye pillow covers are detachable and can be washed in the machine or by hand. Use a mild detergent, wash at 30°c on a gentle setting. Avoid tumble drying, hot iron on non-printed areas when dry.

The inner bag cannot be washed as too much water will damage the wheat grain, spot clean only.

Do not wash the inner bag with wheat grain inside.

All Wheat Packs come unscented and are suitable for sensitive skin.

You can easily add your own scent using essential oils or a hydrosol mist. To scent your wheat pack for the use of aromatherapy, add a few drops of essential oil to the inner bag after heating.

Your wheat bag will last for several years if used and stored according to the recommendations provided by Blasta Henriet.

Linen is one of the most sustainable fabrics on the planet.  It uses fewer resources to grow than other fabrics and the whole Flax plant, from which linen derives, can be used in a variety of ways so there are no wasted bi-products clogging up landfill.

Depending on it's production methods, Linen biodegrades extremely quickly when buried in soil.  Some estimates suggest it can take as little 3 weeks before it begins to break down.

Combined with the use of natural UK wheat, these wheat bags are a great all-round,  natural and sustainable product

By the way, have you read our blog post about linen?   Linen has so many amazing qualities that we have written a whole blog about it - it is definitely worth a read!
